Thank you for considering our Fore the Kids Golf Classic! 100% of the money raised is directly put back into our community. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.

We are partnering with the Town of Mount Pleasant to build a “Kiwanis Signature Project” Playground in North Mount Pleasant that will be inclusive for all families and provide a fun space for play and programming for years to come! Playing in the Fore The Kids tournament will help secure funding for this wonderful project along with other groups we support with funding and volunteers.

The East Cooper-Mt. Pleasant Club was chartered in 1977. Since that time, we estimate that we have raised over $500,000 ($260,000 since 2001), 100% of which has gone directly back into the community in support of programs that impact the lives of children.

Community programs we support annually with volunteers and funding:

• Kiwanis Terrific Kids – an elementary school student recognition program that promotes character development, self-esteem and perseverance.

• Kiwanis Key Club – Lucy Beckham & Wando High School

• Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center

• East Cooper Community Outreach

• Windwood Family Services

• The Shifa Clinic (a free pediatric medical, vision & dental clinic for impoverished families in Mount Pleasant)

• Mt. Pleasant Recreation Department

• Ronald McDonald House

And many more that support kids in our area. Since 2001 we have recognized over 25,000 Terrific Kids and anticipate adding more Terrific Kids in the Mt. Pleasant elementary schools.
